Robot Boss sounds like something out of a science fiction novel.

But thanks to a company called Double Robotics, it has become a reality for many organizations.

Companies like Twitter, eBay and Coca Cola have all hopped on board to the innovation, which allows bosses to manage the company from afar using computer and video technology.

Robot Boss allows managers and leaders to have a moving video presence in any office space, watching over employees and even attending meetings.

How it works: The computer system within the Double robot syncs with an iPad via Bluetooth, and anyone with access to the account uses the device over a Wi-Fi network. The user is then free to control the robot's movements while appearing on the video screen.

The company is hoping the device will be revolutionary in telecommuting.

Would your company ever use this? Why or why not?
